Finding a Safe Place to Live
Every young person is entitled to live in a safe place and we recognise that some young people may have difficulties living at home for many different reasons and do not feel safe and secure in their family home.
A lot of people think of someone who is homeless as sleeping rough in the street or on a park bench. However people are classed as being homeless if they:
- Are sleeping on a friends sofa
- Are living in a hostel
- Are living in overcrowded accommodation
- Are living in unfit housing
If you are having difficulties living at home, and you are under 18 then there are a range of support services who could offer help and advice.
